The S5 Drop Down Panel is a slide down panel that can be demo'd at the top of this page. The panel itself contains six module positions. You may publish any module that you wish into these positions. It comes packed with features so be sure to check out the list and screenshot below.

Note - If the responsive layout is enabled the drop down will disable when the screen size reaches 750px so that it does not interfere with the mobile menu bar

Every template built on Vertex also comes with it's own unique template specific options applicable to that particular template such as highlight colors, social icons, and much more. These features are in addition to the standard functions of Vertex, and are still controlled through the very user friendly interface of Vertex. This page will document the features specific to this template.

Custom Highlight Colors

Need your own custom color scheme? Not a problem, this template comes with ultimate color control! With four highlight colors of your choice you can set titles, hyperlinks, buttons, backgrounds, and much more to any color you wish! This color can easily be set in the template configuration area. Below are some examples of custom color schemes created through the highlight color options. Below are some screenshots of this effect. This effect can be applied to both the light and dark styles.





Note - You can turn the highlight color off on the module titles, to use just one single color. By default they are two-tone.

Social Icons

Easily link to a social media site with the built in social icons found in the header of this template. Simply enter the url of your social site in the configuration and the icon will automatically appear. To disable an icon simply leave the url blank for that particular icon. Turn today's date on or off as well with a simple switch in the configuration as well.

Uppercase Letters

As you can see from this demo there are a lot of uppercase letters used in articles, modules, titles, etc. If you don't want to use uppercase letters simply turn them off in the configuration.

Small Menu

On this demo you can subtext on the first level parent items. If you choose not to use subtext on these links simply choose a small menu option and the menu will automatically down size.

Custom Highlight Font

Choose a custom highlight font powered by Google fonts. This font controls most titles, menu items, and several links on the site. You can also change the default font under the General tab of Vertex.

S5 Accordion Menu

The S5 Accordion menu is demo'd on the right of this page. This version was built specifically for this template and cannot be transferred to another template. We do have another version that can be used on any Joomla template.

This module is based off the Joomla main menu system module so you can still specify which Joomla menu you want to use with the S5 Accordion menu. The menu is powered off of the Mootools Javascript library but detects to see if the library is already initialized, if so then it doesn't load its own library to stop any conflicts from arising.

S5 Image and Content Fader

This module can be viewed at the top of this page. This specific style of the module can only be used with this template. Publish your own content into each slide transition and for multiple slide transition effects, navigation arrows and also a drop down gallery tab that allows you to select a slide via a thumbnail. The S5 Image and Content Fader v3 is powered by Mootools by default but still includes the S5 Effects library and allows you to use it in a "legacy module" if you are experiencing script conflicts. Best of all it's free!

NOTE: Legacy mode will display all your images, titles and slide text but includes limited functionality thus it does not include navigation arrows or the new drop down gallery tab.

Fixed or Fluid Width

This template has the ability to set the entire width of your set to either a fixed pixel width or a fluid percentage width. You can set the width to any size you want.

Column Widths

You may also set the widths of the following positions to any width that you need to: left, left_inset, right, and right_inset. You may set them to any width you need to.

Row Widths

This template comes loaded with module positions, many of which appear in rows of 6 module positions. Any row that contains 6 module positions can have it's row columns set to automatic widths or manual. For example, in the picture below the first row shows 4 modules published and since it's set to automatic each is set to 25% width. The second row shows a manual calculation for each module in the row. Again, you may do this for any row that contains 6 modules. If you setup a manual calculation they must total to 100%. Not all 6 modules need to be used, as shown below.

All of this is done very easily in the template configuration.
